Who am I? I'm still discovering just who I am, I suppose. A. Powell Davis writes that "Life is just a chance to grow a soul."

  1. Love your sportswear!!!! I can mentally place myself in that time and at a very similar place! Gotta love the wonderful memories stored forever in our hearts and heads.

  2. When I found these photos today (they are a bit blurry . . . don’t know who I enlisted to snap them – perhaps my very young brother!), I couldn’t help but smile – these were such good times. Good friends I’ve had for about 60 years . . . and of course when we get together, we revert to the Silly Gals in the photographs!

  3. Postscript: it probably was my brother who snapped the photos . . . for I believe we confiscated his bat and ball!

  4. I know what you mean about wonderful lasting friendships. A couple of weekends ago I went to Palestine and stayed with one of my teacher friends. She, along with three or fours others and I, taught in the same small school for almost 30 years. While I was there, they came to where I was and here we go!! We were (and still are) a bit crazy and the minute we’re back together, it’s as though we’ve never been away from one another. You know how with friends like this you pick up right where you left off the last visit. These forever friends are precious to me as are the new friends I’ve been blessed with since moving to Seguin….you, Hope, are right at the top of that list.

  5. Oh, I love it! And I can tell you do, also. We used to move every four years or so (until the 18 years in Denver!) and we have friends from everywhere we have lived and still keep in touch with so many of them.

Friends are our Very Special Gifts and I treasure them! Ditto about the list!!

There is a group of us (used to be more than recently) who would get together whenever possible for a mini-reunion of sorts. Seems as though the past few years, one or the other of us has been visiting doctors and families and ‘situations,’ – you know how that goes. But, although we have put it on the back burner – we WILL get together – somewhere – before long. We all live in different cities so our reunions have been in Denver (when I was living there); Dallas (just because we wanted to go!); Albuquerque (because New Mexico is so dear to us).

No telling where the next one will be . . .

I’m nattering (can’t get me started, Judye!).
